Under sunny skies and near perfect conditions our group set out under the leadership of Greg Ralton on a 2.5km trek into the bush across from Edwards Road.
After all the rain, the bush was alive with colour and we were all aware that we were probably seeing it at its very best.
Armed with our little “cheat” sheet of what we might expect to see along the track, people of all ages enthusiastically sought out, admired and photographed the many flowers and plants, while Greg did his best to emphasise the importance of the native ironbark trees that surround us here in Maiden Gully.
All in a great time was had by all that participated and is the first of what we hope will become regular events
